You mentioned Herb Brier. When he was writing for Popular Electronics I had the opportunity
to meet him. I was a young ham of a few years. On the Police Department and at that time,
working the patrol in the streets. Had the opportunity to go to his house on the West side
of Gary and visit with him. He was a swell guy. That was in the early 70's. Herb was something
else and a great writer. He would talk to me about 6 meter am at that time.
